St. Luke's success in Kingdom Building will be measured by the extent to which gifted, committed, and enthusiastic disciples of Jesus Christ are deployed as servant ministers in faithful obedience to God's will, while witnessing to God's mercy, justice and love.
Faith Re-Entry Enterprise (FREE) is a faith driven volunteer program. FREE's goal is to provide a successful initiative that reduces recidivism and makes communities safer for all residents.
FREE is a model program demonstrating the love of God to released inmates by connecting them with community lifelines during the first 72 crucial hours of re-entry into society. Volunteer case workers meet with inmates prior to release to establish a vital and unique needs plan. Community guides, with a designed care package, meet and help connect the former inmate to specified lifelines critical to his/her needs. During the first year of release, assigned faith friends provide nurturing through a faith community support group.
