The Global Leadership Summit

WHAT IS THE GLOBAL LEADERSHIP SUMMIT?

The Global Leadership Summit is an annual event organized by Willow Creek Community Church out of South Barrington, Illinois. What began as a compelling vision for courageous leadership in the local church has caught fire and spread among leaders hungry to be developed and challenged. The Global Leadership Summit has become more than a solitary event on the calendar: it is a perpetual movement of men and women whose relentless global mission is to develop authentic leaders for the sake of the local church and their communities. This rich expanse reflects incredible cultural diversity and racial heritage, and does not dilute in the face of tough economic times.

WHY IS ST. LUKE'S INVOLVED?

In 2009, St. Luke’s was contacted by Willow Creek Community Church as one of the premier churches in the United States asking us to consider being a preview site. This meant that we were primarily a site for our own congregation. The experience was so success that in 2010 St. Luke's was asked to be a host site and was open to all United Methodists within our community. In 2011 St. Luke's became a Premier Host Site which means we are open to anyone in our community and beyond who desires to attend. Our Sanctuary will be open on August 11 and 12 for simulcast viewing of the live Global Leadership Summit happening at Willow Creek Community Church. The Leadership Summit will be viewed in real time and include all the great speakers those attending The Global Leadership Summit at Willow Creek and at the Host sites are experiencing. St. Luke’s participants get all the benefits of The Global Leadership Summit at a much lower cost and no travel expenses. Please consider who you may want to join you and bring them along.

WHAT IS THE COST TO ATTEND?

The cost varies, but to get the best rate, register before June 28, 2011 to get the early-bird registration price.

Your role as a leader either within your church, your community and/or your work place is being put to the test. The Global Leadership Summit is an opportunity for you to connect with other leaders facing similar challenges and hear inspirational speakers to help keep you motivated and encouraged.
