Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) and MOMS United are not Bible study groups nor play groups, but a community of authentic moms who are real about the ups and downs of motherhood. The groups are led by amazing moms have a powerful faith in Christ and through their life-style evangelism hope that when you are among you will feel the love, compassion and grace of God.
The MOPS and MOMS United experience equips women for the joys and challenges of their lives as moms. We are a community of women who support and encourage each other on the adventure of mothering. We have play dates and mom’s night out year round, so join us anytime!
We have three MOPS chapters at St. Luke’s and our moms attend one meeting per month To register for one of these groups, please visit the MOPS registration page.
- MOPS 2 meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. in the Attic (Bldg. C)
- MOPS 4 meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. in the Attic (Bldg. C)
- MOPS PM meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. in room 205/207 (Bldg. C)
We also have a MOMS United group at St. Luke’s for moms with school-age children (6 years old and above). MOMS United meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. in the Attic (Building C).
The 2011-2012 MOPS theme is MomSense – Bold, Loving, Sensible and the theme book is MomSense: A Common-Sense Guide to Confident Mothering by Jean Blackmer.
Developing a mothering strategy is somewhat like playing a game and next year’s theme is appropriately game-related. Have fun being a mom! Playing games involves being bold and taking risks, loving those in the game with us and being sensible while figuring out what does and does not work. By combining mom intuition and common sense each mom will discover her own unique MomSense.
